Shall I say I'm now less wise?

Well, I don't know if I would've ever deemed myself to be truly wise, but I am short of a wisdom tooth. I know, I know...this is sappy so far, but please forgive me since I'm duped up on painkillers, antibiotics and steriods. I got my lone wisdom tooth removed yesterday morning. For those of you who are curious, the procedure was about 1.5 hours long and I was under general anesthesia, so I don't remember a thing. As soon as I got home, I went to bed. Patrick woke me up at 1:45 to make me eat (I hadn't eaten all day) and take my meds. I went straight back to bed and slept from 2pm until 4. And then I slept from 9pm until 7am. And I've slept lots today. I feels like a train ran over me, meaning I'm totally pooped and lack all energy. The pain meds help alleviate the discomfort and it's not as painful as I thought it would be, but it's still not the berries. Anyway, Patrick has done a GREAT job entertaining the kids, keeping the house straight and letting me sleep when I need.

For those of you with this surgery impending in the next few weeks/months, don't worry. It's not that bad, but be sure to have plenty of time to sleep because you will definitely be out of it. I'm supposed to work the the 2-year-olds tomorrow morning at church, so that will be interesting....

I think the two-year-old class should ALWAYS be worked by doped-up people.

I am glad yours went well! Always nice to hear when mine is a couple of weeks away.

I'm glad to hear it went well - and that it's over. I'm still scared to even call for a consultation. But, maybe I'll do it soon! Take care...

It's not that big of a deal, C. I've had oral surgery before and this wasn't bad. It does hurt, but the pain meds work wonders. It might be good to do it around the time you have off of work so you don't have to take any additional vacation days...

You can do it!
